Biography

Somrutai Chaisit is an Associate Lawyer with extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution across a wide range of legal disciplines. Born and raised in Phuket, she possesses a deep understanding of the local community while maintaining a strong commitment to serving international clients and expatriates residing or conducting business in Thailand.

She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Thaksin University and is admitted as a licensed attorney by the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. Throughout her legal career, she has developed substantial courtroom experience representing clients before various specialized courts, including the Bankruptcy Court, Labour Court, and Juvenile and Family Court.

Ms. Chaisit has particular expertise in family and cross-border family disputes involving foreign nationals. Her experience includes international child abduction matters, child custody disputes, petitions for termination of parental authority, divorce proceedings involving multinational families, and the division of matrimonial property between spouses of different nationalities. She also advises and represents clients in civil disputes arising from property transactions and investments involving foreign individuals and businesses.

In addition to her litigation practice, she has participated in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings under the supervision of the Thai Courts of Justice. Her approach combines practical legal analysis, effective advocacy, and a client-focused mindset aimed at achieving efficient and commercially sensible outcomes.
